Studio Etiquette

1st time appointment 
In a nutshell: We want to know why you came into our studio and how we can help you. We’ll need to determine if there are movements you find difficult and how we can treat your muscles to improve your movement. We decide with you the areas of focus for treatment and the style of therapy you would be best suited to receive.

We provide assessments as part of all our treatments. Whether your goals are therapeutic or preventative in nature and at a minimum, we will conduct a postural assessment as well as a medical intake. This is to ensure we are able to provide you the best treatment possible.

Please come 5 minutes early for your treatment. If our door is locked, please wait patiently, we are either finishing with a client or have stepped away for a moment and look forward to greeting you at the time of your appointment. Please note, we are open by appointment only.

If you do arrive late, please note we may need to complete the service requested in the time remaining and your billing may reflect the initial booking request.

Your therapist will speak with you as it pertains to your treatment. She/he may ask you for feedback to ensure the treatment style is to your preference.  We follow your lead when it comes general conversation and will be happy to answer your questions as it relates to your massage therapy treatment.

Massage treatments covered by insurance
We are registered massage therapists & our treatments are covered by your health insurance policy. Please verify if your plan has massage therapy as a benefit and if you require a physicians’ referral, please bring it to your appointment.

Please inform us if you are pregnant. While treatments can be performed in any trimester, we may need to take extra care in our treatment room set up and avoid or include certain techniques.  We always appreciate knowing how far along you are in your pregnancy.

Location & Parking
We are located on the first floor of the DELTA HALIFAX hotel. Parking is available in the Scotia Square mall parkade as well as meter parking on Cogswell & Albemarle Street. Please refer to the location & contact page for more details.

Couples Massage & Treatments
At this time, we ask that you make your couples massage request by email.

General etiquette
Please shut off your cell phone or let your therapist know that you’d like to keep it on during treatment & we also ask that you remove all jewelry.

Late Cancellation / No Show Policy
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you.  Please be advised that 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel any appointments or full charges may apply. This policy also applies to same day appointments made that are cancelled.

Please advise your therapist directly ASAP if you wake up feeling sick on the day of your appointment. They will advise if you can receive treatment and need to consider a potential cancellation on an individual basis.   Fees related to late cancellations or missed appointments may not be applied to your insurance provider.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Interac & Cash. We provide Gift Certificates for all our services.
