Our Dartmouth clinic is 5 minutes away from downtown Halifax & has several affordable parking options. Conveniently located right next door to the MacDonald Bridge is where you can find us at 99 Wyse Road (lobby level), adjacent to the DoubleTree Hotel and across from the Dartmouth Sportsplex.

Access: please enter the main doors of our building. You may also enter from the Doubletree hotel lobby.

You may receive an access code to our clinic after securing an appointment. This is because we may not always have a reception service on-site. We will notify you if you require a code. If so, you can enter the code on the number pad of our studio door and have a seat inside our waiting area. Your therapist will be out to greet you a few moments before your session begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fist time appointment

In a nutshell: We want to know why you came into our studio and how we can help you. Once you’ve filled out your health history and you and your massage therapist have entered the treatment room, your massage therapist will go over your chart with you to ensure that your intake form is complete and well-understood.

Your therapist may also complete a postural exam, range of motion assessments, and/or special tests and part of your assessment. We provide assessments as part of all our treatments, and they are included within the time slot that you have booked. This is necessary to ensure your health and safety during treatment.

Whether your goals are therapeutic or preventative in nature, please always be prepared for an intake assessment.

Timing

Please come five minutes early for your treatment. If our door is locked, please wait patiently, we are either finishing with a client or have stepped away for a moment. Have a seat on the white ottoman in the hallway. We look forward to greeting you at the time of your appointment. Please note, we are open by appointment only.

If you arrive late, we honour the original time slot booked. This means that your treatment time will be shorter. The policy ensures fairness to other clients, and that all other appointments in the day run smoothly and on time.

Communication

During your massage, your therapist will speak with you as it pertains to your treatment. They may ask you for feedback to ensure the treatment style and pressure is to your preference.  We follow your lead when it comes general conversation. It is also ok and encouraged to have a silent massage treatment and no need to be shy if you would like to honor a little more space for silence during your treatment time. We are also always happy to answer your questions as it relates to your massage therapy treatment.

Insurance

Lots of direct billing insurance options. Click here to learn more.

Cell Phones

Please shut off your cell phone or let your therapist know that you’d like to keep it on during treatment if you are expecting an important message. For the privacy of your therapist, do not bring your cell phone onto the table with you. In addition, cell phone alarms/pings/calls are incredibly distracting for the therapist, and we ask that you keep these interactions to a bare minimum.

Clothing and jewelry

Before your massage begins, your therapist will let you know that you can undress to whatever your comfort level. There is therapeutic value to receiving massage therapy through clothing, over a drape (sheet) as well as directly in contact with skin/connective tissue/muscles & joints. Please always remove all jewelry before your treatment.

Late Cancellation / No Show Policy

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you.  Please be advised that 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel any appointments or full charges may apply. This policy also applies to appointments that are made and cancelled within the same day. Fees related to late cancellations or missed appointments may not be applied to your insurance provider.

Illness

Please advise your therapist as soon as possible if you wake up feeling sick on the day of your appointment. Whether you will receive treatment is at the therapist’s discretion. They will advise you and will consider potential cancellations on an individual basis.

Payment
