What is it?

Graston Technique is a very specific form of muscle scraping that is classified as connective fascial therapy. It is instrument-assisted.

This means the Massage Therapist will use curved, stainless steel rod-like tools to mould to the landscape of the body.

These tools are especially effective at carving & smoothing out scarring (related to surgery or injury) & adhesions within the connective tissue, nerve and muscle network of the body.

Patients should expect to feel short, repetitive strokes that may feel deep and provoke a tolerable pain response.

Therapeutic pain elicited via this technique combined with repetition will also increase circulation & provide a glowing warmth to the area being treated.

This treatment is highly recommended for those who want spot-specific, targeted relief.

What else to expect?

Graston is so effective that we only need a short amount of time to produce quality results. That’s why we book initial treatments for 30 minutes & on-going treatments for 15 minutes. If you're keen to book this style of treatment then you’ll be booking exclusively with Taya Van Wychen at our clinic.
