About Julie (she/her)

A hippy at heart, Julie has always looked for inspiring ways to contribute in community.  The decision to pursue massage therapy was inspired by witnessing the power it had on her father’s quality of life after the injury of his back.

Prior to her career in massage, Julie has had an adventurous, well travelled path in life that’s included tree planting, cherry picking, the restaurant industry as well as a career in music. It’s a love for song-writing, singing and performance that inspires her to share experiences and connect.

Massage therapy offers her quiet space to connect uniquely to each individual listening with eyes, heart and hands to the tension pattern she assists to soothe.  As with song, her treatments aim to be of service, helping relieve tension in a healthy and positive way.

The power of touch and intention is not lost on Julie.  The foundation of her treatment will ensure that your preferences for deep tissue, myofascial and relaxation are cultivated with care during session.  She will encourage you to advocate for your treatment experience by providing opportunity to consent to various pressures and techniques while taking moments of pause for breathwork.

Julie has a natural, home grown, salt of the earth sort-of-kindness that upon meeting her for the first time, welcomes an automatic state of relaxation.  Julie is also a Reiki practitioner & for those interested, invites you to ask more about this offering at the time of your appointment.

Julie’s wearing a Lucky Cat Tee from an independent barber shop ~ Lucky Cat Barbershop located in King’s Wharf.
